This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's practice of reciting Qunut, which is a special supplication made during prayer. It was narrated by Anas bin Malik that he asked the Prophet about the Qunut and he replied that it was definitely recited before bowing in prayer. He then explained that this practice was done for one month after some people broke a peace treaty with him and killed seventy men who knew the Qur'an by heart.
