EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the witr prayer that was offered by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ at different nights and various hours extending from Isha prayer to the last hour of night. It is a sunnah for Muslims to offer witr prayer after Isha prayer in congregation or individually. It is a voluntary prayer and can be offered with any number of rakats between one and eleven. This hadith shows us how important it was for our beloved prophet ﷺ to offer this voluntary prayer even though he was already offering five obligatory prayers every day. He showed us that we should not neglect any act of worship even if it is voluntary as it will bring us closer to Allah SWT and increase our rewards in this life and hereafter.
