Doing Good Deeds and Walking Until Evening

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the importance of doing good deeds and walking until evening.

This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Zaid with the same chain of transmitters except with (a slight) change of words (ie he the Holy Prophet) said: Or he enjoined what is good, . and said: He enters the evening ie he walks till evening.
وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الدَّارِمِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَسَّانَ، حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَخِي، زَيْدٌ بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ ‏.‏ مِثْلَهُ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ ‏"‏ أَوْ أَمَرَ بِمَعْرُوفٍ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ وَقَالَ ‏"‏ فَإِنَّهُ يُمْسِي يَوْمَئِذٍ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith emphasizes the importance of doing good deeds and walking until evening. It encourages us to be productive throughout the day by engaging in activities that are beneficial for ourselves and others. We should strive to make use of our time wisely by engaging in activities that will bring us closer to Allah SWT. Additionally, it reminds us that we should not waste our time on things that do not benefit us or others spiritually or materially. Instead, we should focus on making use of our time in a way that will bring us closer to Allah SWT and His pleasure.

The Prophet Muhammad SAW also encouraged people to take walks during the evening as a form of exercise which can help improve physical health as well as mental wellbeing. Taking walks can also help clear one’s mind from worries and anxieties which can lead to better concentration when engaging in other activities such as studying or working. Therefore, this hadith serves as an important reminder for all Muslims to make use of their time wisely by engaging in beneficial activities such as doing good deeds and taking walks during the evening hours.
