The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was known for his exemplary character and manners. One of these mannerisms was that whenever he asked permission to enter a room, he would knock on the door thrice with a greeting. He also had the habit of repeating any sentence or phrase three times in order to emphasize its importance. This hadith serves as an example of how we should conduct ourselves in our daily lives; by being polite, respectful, and mindful of others’ feelings. We can learn from this hadith that it is important to be courteous when interacting with others, even if it is something as simple as asking for permission before entering someone’s home or office space.
