Sahih al-Bukhari 969 (Book 13, Hadith 18) #935
The Superiority of Good Deeds During the First Ten Days of Dhul Hijja

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) said that no good deeds done on other days are superior to those done on the first ten days of Dhul Hijja, except for a man who puts himself and his property in danger for Allah's sake and does not return with any of those things.

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: The Prophet said, "No good deeds done on other days are superior to those done on these (first ten days of Dhul Hijja)". Then some companions of the Prophet said, "Not even Jihad?" He replied, "Not even Jihad, except that of a man who does it by putting himself and his property in danger (for Allah's sake) and does not return with any of those things".

QUICK LESSONS:
Do good deeds during the first ten days of Dhul Hijja; Put yourself and your property at risk for Allah's sake without expecting anything in return.
EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us that during the first ten days of Dhul Hijja, which is a month in the Islamic calendar, our good deeds are more valuable than any other day. He also mentioned that even Jihad, which is an act of self-sacrifice for Allah's sake, is not as valuable as these good deeds unless it involves putting oneself and one's property at risk without expecting anything in return. This hadith teaches us to prioritize doing good deeds during this time period and to be willing to sacrifice ourselves for Allah without expecting anything in return.
