Last in This World, First in the Next

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said that his followers will be the last to enter this world and the first to enter the afterlife.

A hadith like this has been narrated by Abu Huraira that the Messenger of Allah said: We are the last and would be the first on the Day of Resurrection.
وَحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، وَابْنِ طَاوُسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ‏ "‏ نَحْنُ الآخِرُونَ وَنَحْنُ السَّابِقُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ بِمِثْلِهِ
