Take a bath before going out for prayer; Put oil or scent on your hair; Pray as much as is written; Remain quiet during sermon; Make an effort spiritually & physically for prayer

Every week Muslims around the world gather in mosques to pray together on Fridays. This hadith from Prophet Muhammad ﷺ encourages us to take extra care when preparing for this special day. We should take a bath, clean ourselves as much as possible, and put oil or scent on our hair before going to the mosque. Additionally, we should not push or force our way between two people who are already assembled in the mosque for prayer. Once we have prayed as much as is written for us and remain quiet while listening to the sermon given by an Imam, all of our sins from that week will be forgiven! This hadith teaches us that if we make an effort to prepare ourselves spiritually and physically for prayer then Allah will reward us with His mercy and forgiveness.
