Sahih Muslim 634b (Book 5, Hadith 270) #8584
Praying Before Sunrise and Sunset

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said that whoever prays before sunrise and sunset will not enter Hell.

Umara b. Ruwaiba reported on the authority of his father that the Messenger of Allah said: He who said prayer before the rising of the sun and its setting would not enter the fire (of Hell), and there was a man from Basra (sitting) beside him who said: Did you hear it from the Messenger of Allah (way peace be upon him)? He said: Yes, I bear witness to it. The man from Basra said: I bear witness that I did hear from the Messenger of Allah saying it from the place that you heard from him.

QUICK LESSONS:
Pray regularly before sunrise & sunset
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of prayer in Islam. The Prophet Muhammad said that if someone prays before sunrise and sunset they will not enter Hell. This means that prayer is a very important part of being a Muslim and it should be done regularly to ensure one's salvation in the afterlife. It also shows how important it is to follow the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad as he was sent by Allah as a messenger for mankind. Furthermore, this hadith emphasizes how important it is to have faith in Allah's words and teachings as even though Umara b. Ruwaiba heard this from his father he still asked if he heard it from the Messenger himself to make sure it was true.
