Praying at the Right Time

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) prayed the afternoon prayer when the sun was still in its place and its shadow did not extend beyond his apartment.

'A'isha, the wife of the Apostle , said that the Messenger of Allah said the afternoon prayer (at the time) when the sun shone in her apartment and its shadow did not extend beyond her apartment.
وَحَدَّثَنِي حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ، زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ أَخْبَرَتْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَانَ يُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ وَالشَّمْسُ فِي حُجْرَتِهَا لَمْ يَظْهَرِ الْفَىْءُ فِي حُجْرَتِهَا

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about praying at the right time. It was narrated by 'A'isha, wife of Prophet Muhammad PBUH who said that he used to pray in the afternoon when the sun was still in its place and its shadow did not extend beyond his apartment. This hadith teaches us that we should be mindful of our prayers and offer them on time as prescribed by Allah SWT. We should also be aware of our surroundings and take into account any changes that may affect our prayer times such as shadows or sunlight. Furthermore, this hadith also reminds us to be punctual with all our obligations towards Allah SWT so that we can reap maximum rewards from Him for fulfilling His commands.
