Avoiding Garlic, Onion and Leek in Mosque

SUMMARY: Eating garlic, onion, and leek should be avoided when visiting the mosque as it can harm the angels.

Jabir b. 'Abdullah reported the Messenger of Allah saying: He who eats of this (offensive) plant, i. e garlic, and sometimes he said: He who eats onion and garlic and leek, should not approach our mosque for the angels are harmed by the same things as the children of Adam.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about avoiding certain foods when visiting a mosque. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that those who eat garlic, onion or leeks should not approach the mosque because these foods can harm the angels just like they can harm humans. This hadith teaches us to be mindful of our actions and to respect places of worship by refraining from eating certain foods before entering them. It also reminds us that we are not alone in this world; there are other beings around us that we must take into consideration when making decisions about our behavior. We should always strive to do what is right and avoid doing anything that could potentially cause harm to others or ourselves.
