Sahih Muslim 564a (Book 5, Hadith 90) #8405
Eating Onions and Leek Forbidden in Mosque

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad forbade eating onions and leek, but if someone did eat them, they were not allowed to enter the mosque.

Jabir reported: The Messenger of Allah forbade eating of onions and leek. When we were overpowered by a desire (to eat) we ate them. Upon this he (the Holy Prophet) said: He who eats of this offensive plant must not approach our mosque, for the angels are harmed by the same things as men.
