Length of Sutra According to Prophet Muhammad

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad was asked about the length of a sutra (a rope used to tether an animal) and he replied that it should be like the back of a saddle.

'A'isha reported: The Messenger of Allah was asked in the expedition of Tabuk about the sutra the worshipper; he said: Like the back of the saddle.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، أَخْبَرَنَا حَيْوَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي الأَسْوَدِ، مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ سُئِلَ فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ عَنْ سُتْرَةِ الْمُصَلِّي فَقَالَ ‏ "‏ كَمُؤْخِرَةِ الرَّحْلِ

EXPLANATIONS:
During the expedition of Tabuk, the Prophet Muhammad was asked about how long a sutra should be. A sutra is a rope used to tether an animal. In response, he said that it should be like the back of a saddle.
