This hadith is about following the instructions of an Imam during prayer. An Imam is a leader who leads people in prayer. When the Imam recites a phrase such as "Allah listens to him who praises Him," everyone should say "O Allah, our Lord, for Thee be the praise". When he bows down to pray everyone should bow down too and when he stands up to pray everyone should stand up too. This hadith teaches us that we must follow instructions given by an authority figure and show respect for them by doing what they do. It also teaches us that we must always remember to thank Allah for all His blessings and show our appreciation for Him through our words and actions.
