Ask for forgiveness & mercy from Allah .

This hadith is narrated by Abu Bakr As-Siddiq, who asked the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to teach him an invocation so that he can use it in his prayer. The Prophet ﷺ then taught him a du’a which translates to “O Allah! I have done great injustice to myself and none except You forgives sins, so bestow on me a forgiveness from You, and Have Mercy on me, You are the Forgiver, the Merciful).” This hadith teaches us that we should always ask for forgiveness from Allah as He is the only one who can forgive our sins. We should also ask Him for His mercy as He is most merciful. We should make this du’a regularly in our prayers as it will help us stay away from sinning again.
