Rewards for Inhabitants of Paradise

SUMMARY: The hadith is about Moses (peace be upon him) asking Allah, Exalted and Great, about the reward of the lowest of the inhabitants of Paradise.

Sha'bi reported he had heard al-Mughira b. Shu'ba say on the pulpit that Moses (peace be upon him) had asked Allah, Exalted and Great, about the reward of the lowest of the inhabitants of Paradise, and the remaining part of hadith is the same (as narrated) above.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ الأَشْجَعِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبْجَرَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الشَّعْبِيَّ، يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ الْمُغِيرَةَ بْنَ شُعْبَةَ، يَقُولُ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ إِنَّ مُوسَى - عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَمُ - سَأَلَ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ عَنْ أَخَسِّ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ مِنْهَا حَظًّا ‏.‏ وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ بِنَحْوِهِ

This hadith is about Moses asking Allah what rewards are given to those who are in paradise. It teaches us that we should strive to do good deeds so that we can be rewarded with a place in paradise. We should also remember that even if someone has done fewer good deeds than others they will still receive a reward from Allah for their efforts. This hadith also reminds us to always ask questions and seek knowledge from Allah as He knows best what is right and wrong for us.
