Sahih al-Bukhari 7352 (Book 96, Hadith 79) #7054
Rewarding Judges for their Verdicts

SUMMARY: A judge will be rewarded for giving a verdict according to the best of his knowledge, even if it is wrong.

Narrated 'Amr bin Al-'As: That he heard Allah's Messenger saying, "If a judge gives a verdict according to the best of his knowledge and his verdict is correct (ie agrees with Allah and His Apostle's verdict) he will receive a double reward, and if he gives a verdict according to the best of his knowledge and his verdict is wrong, (ie against that of Allah and His Apostle) even then he will get a reward ".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the importance of judges and their role in society. It teaches us that even if a judge makes a mistake in his judgement, he will still be rewarded by Allah for trying to do what is right. This shows us how important it is to have justice and fairness in our society, as well as how important it is to have people who are willing to take on this responsibility. The hadith also encourages people who are judges or those who aspire to become one, by showing them that they will be rewarded for their efforts regardless of the outcome.
