Sahih al-Bukhari 6930 (Book 88, Hadith 12) #6661
Dealing with False Believers

SUMMARY: This hadith is about the warning of false believers who will appear during the last days and how they should be dealt with.

Narrated 'Ali: Whenever I tell you a narration from Allah's Messenger , by Allah, I would rather fall down from the sky than ascribe a false statement to him, but if I tell you something between me and you (not a Hadith) then it was indeed a trick (ie, I may say things just to cheat my enemy). No doubt I heard Allah's Apostle saying, "During the last days there will appear some young foolish people who will say the best words but their faith will not go beyond their throats (ie they will have no faith) and will go out from (leave) their religion as an arrow goes out of the game. So, where-ever you find them, kill them, for who-ever kills them shall have reward on the Day of Resurrection".

QUICK LESSONS:
Be faithful and committed to your religion; Be aware of those who may try deceive you; Follow Islamic law when dealing with extreme cases; Kill false believers if there is no other option available .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith warns us of false believers who will appear during the last days. These people may say words that sound good, but their faith does not go beyond their throats. They are like an arrow that leaves a game, meaning they have no real commitment to their religion. The Prophet Muhammad instructed us to kill these people wherever we find them, as whoever kills them will receive a reward on the Day of Resurrection. We must remember that this is only applicable in extreme cases where there is no other option and it must be done in accordance with Islamic law. We should also strive to protect our faith by being aware of those who may try to deceive us and lead us astray from our religion.
