Taking Revenge for Allah's Sake

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad never took revenge for himself, but only when Allah's limits were exceeded.

Narrated 'Aisha: Allah's Messenger never took revenge for his own self in any matter presented to him till Allah's limits were exceeded, in which case he would take revenge for Allah's sake.

QUICK LESSONS:
Forgive those who have wronged you , Leave justice up to Allah , Live according your Islamic teachings .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks to the importance of not taking revenge for one’s own self. The Prophet Muhammad was known to be a peaceful man who did not take revenge even when wronged. He only took action if the boundaries set by God were crossed, in which case he would take action on behalf of God. This teaches us that we should strive to forgive and forget any wrongdoings done against us and instead focus on living our lives according to the teachings of Islam and the boundaries set by God. We should also remember that it is ultimately up to God to decide how people are punished or rewarded for their actions, so we should leave it up to Him rather than trying to take matters into our own hands.
