Follow justice and accountability when punishing someone who has committed wrongdoing

This hadith is about the punishment of female slaves who commit illegal sexual intercourse. According to this hadith, if a female slave is found guilty of committing illegal sexual intercourse, she should be punished with flogging fifty stripes. If she commits it again, then she should be flogged again but not admonished. However, if it happens for the third time then she should be sold even for a hair rope. This hadith teaches us that we must punish those who commit wrongdoings and also that we must not let them get away with their wrongdoings by just admonishing them or forgiving them without any consequences. It also teaches us to take serious measures when someone continues to do something wrong despite being warned multiple times as in this case where the female slave was sold after committing illegal sexual intercourse three times in a row.
