Inheritance Distribution According to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

Narrated Huzail: 'Abdullah said, "The judgment I will give in this matter will be like the judgment of the Prophet, ie one-half is for the daughter and one-sixth for the son's daughter and the rest of the inheritance for the sister".

QUICK LESSONS:
Follow Islamic laws regarding inheritance distribution and wasiyyah as prescribed by Allah SWT through His Messenger PBUH .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about how inheritance should be distributed according to Prophet Muhammad’s judgement. He said that a daughter should get half of her father’s inheritance, a son’s daughter should get one-sixth and the rest of it goes to her sister. This judgement is based on Islamic laws known as Faraidh which are related to inheritance distribution and Wasiyyah which are related to wills or testaments. It also takes into account Nasab which means lineage or ancestry in Arabic. These laws were established by Allah in order for people who have passed away to provide for their families even after they have gone from this world.
