The Power of La ilaha illallah

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) advised Abu Talib to recite the Islamic declaration of faith before his death.

Narrated Al-Musaiyab: When the death of Abu Talib approached, Allah's Messenger came to him and said, "Say: La ilaha illallah, a word with which I will be able to defend you before Allah".
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ لَمَّا حَضَرَتْ أَبَا طَالِبٍ الْوَفَاةُ جَاءَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ ‏ "‏ قُلْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ كَلِمَةً‏.‏ أُحَاجُّ لَكَ بِهَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ

This hadith speaks about the power and importance of reciting the Islamic declaration of faith, which is “La ilaha illallah”.
