Sahih al-Bukhari 6526 (Book 81, Hadith 115) #6275
Judgement Day and its Consequences

SUMMARY: This hadith explains that on the Day of Resurrection, people will be gathered and judged according to their deeds.

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: The Prophet stood up among us and addressed (saying) "You will be gathered, barefooted, naked, and uncircumcised (as Allah says): 'As We began the first creation, We shall repeat it'. (21:104) And the first human being to be dressed on the Day of Resurrection will be (the Prophet) Abraham Al-Khalil. Then will be brought some men of my followers who will be taken towards the left (ie, to the Fire), and I will say: 'O Lord! My companions whereupon Allah will say: You do not know what they did after you left them. I will then say as the pious slave, Jesus said, And I was witness over them while I dwelt amongst them.(up to) .the All-Wise'. (5:117-118). The narrator added: Then it will be said that those people (relegated from Islam, that is) kept on turning on their heels (deserted Islam).

QUICK LESSONS:
Do good deeds , Seek forgiveness from God for wrongdoings

EXPLANATIONS:
On the Day of Judgment, all people will be gathered together in one place. They will be barefooted, naked, and uncircumcised as Allah says in the Quran. The first person to be dressed on this day is Prophet Abraham Al-Khalil. Then some of Prophet Muhammad's followers will be taken towards the left side which is a sign that they have done something wrong after he left them. It is then said that these people kept turning away from Islam even after knowing about it. This hadith teaches us that we should always strive to do good deeds so we can receive Allah's mercy on the day of judgement and not face any punishment for our wrongdoings. We should also remember that no matter how much we try to hide our sins from others, Allah knows everything about us and He will judge us accordingly on the day of judgement.
