Meeting Allah in a State of Humility

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ taught that one will meet Allah in a state of being barefooted, naked, walking on feet and uncircumcised.

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: The Prophet said, "You will meet Allah barefooted, naked, walking on feet, and uncircumcised".
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيٌّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ عَمْرٌو سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ، سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ يَقُولُ ‏ "‏ إِنَّكُمْ مُلاَقُو اللَّهِ حُفَاةً عُرَاةً مُشَاةً غُرْلاً ‏"‏‏.‏ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ هَذَا مِمَّا نَعُدُّ أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ سَمِعَهُ مِنَ النَّبِيِّ ‏.‏

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us that when we meet Allah, we should do so with humility and modesty. We should not be proud or boastful but instead humble ourselves before Him. We should also remember that no matter how much wealth or power we have here on earth, it is nothing compared to the greatness of our Creator. We must come before Him with humility and respect for His greatness. Furthermore, this hadith reminds us to stay away from any form of arrogance or pride as these are traits which will not be accepted by our Lord on the Day of Judgment. Finally, this hadith serves as a reminder for us to always strive to live our lives according to the teachings of Islam so that when we meet our Lord on the Day of Judgment, He will be pleased with us and grant us His mercy and forgiveness.
