The Shade of Allah

SUMMARY: Allah will provide shade to those who remember Him and cry out of love for Him.

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said Allah will give shade to seven (types of people) under His Shade (on the Day of Resurrection). (one of them will be) a person who remembers Allah and his eyes are then flooded with tears.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي خُبَيْبُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ قَالَ ‏ "‏ سَبْعَةٌ يُظِلُّهُمُ اللَّهُ، رَجُلٌ ذَكَرَ اللَّهَ فَفَاضَتْ عَيْنَاهُ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the mercy and love that Allah has for His believers. It is narrated by Abu Huraira that the Prophet said that on the Day of Resurrection, seven types of people will be given shade under Allah's Shade. One such type is a person who remembers Allah and his eyes are then flooded with tears out of love for Him. This hadith teaches us to remember Allah in our daily lives and to show our love for Him through our actions as well as through tears. We should strive to be among those who are blessed with this special shade from Allah on the Day of Judgment.
