Sahih al-Bukhari 6402 (Book 80, Hadith 97) #6151
The Power of Saying "Amin"

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught that when the Imam says 'Amin', everyone should say it too, and if their 'Amin' coincides with the angels', all their past sins will be forgiven.

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "When the Imam says 'Amin', then you should all say 'Amin', for the angels say 'Amin' at that time, and he whose 'Amin' coincides with the 'Amin' of the angels, all his past sins will be forgiven".

QUICK LESSONS:
Listen attentively while praying; Say "amin" when Imam does; Have faith in Allah's mercy & forgiveness
EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us about the power of saying “Amin” during prayer. When we are in prayer, we should listen to what the Imam is saying and when he says “Amin” at the end of a sentence, we should also say “Amin”. If our “Amin” coincides with that of the angels, then all our past sins will be forgiven by Allah. This hadith teaches us to have faith in Allah and His mercy and forgiveness. It also encourages us to pay attention during prayer so that we can benefit from this blessing by saying “Amin” at exactly the same time as the angels do.
