Recite certain words while seeking refuge with Allah .

This hadith encourages us to seek refuge with Allah from various afflictions and punishments. It was narrated by Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas, who was a companion of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. He said that we should recite certain words while seeking refuge with Allah, such as “O Allah! I seek refuge with You from cowardice, and seek refuge with You from miserliness, and seek refuge with You from reaching a degraded geriatric old age, and seek refuge with You from the afflictions of the world and from the punishment in the grave”. By reciting these words we can ask for protection against all kinds of difficulties that may come our way throughout our lives on earth or after death. We should always remember that only God can protect us against all kinds of harm or danger so it is important to turn to Him for help whenever we are faced by any kind of difficulty or hardship.
