Five Practices in Accordance with Al Fitra

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught that there are five things which are in accordance with the tradition of prophets, and these include circumcision, shaving the pelvic region, pulling out armpit hair, cutting short moustaches and clipping nails.

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said "Five things are in accordance with Al Fitra (ie the tradition of prophets): to be circumcised, to shave the pelvic region, to pull out the hair of the armpits, to cut short the moustaches, and to clip the nails'.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ قُزَعَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ قَالَ ‏ "‏ الْفِطْرَةُ خَمْسٌ الْخِتَانُ، وَالاِسْتِحْدَادُ، وَنَتْفُ الإِبْطِ، وَقَصُّ الشَّارِبِ، وَتَقْلِيمُ الأَظْفَارِ
