Driving Carefully and Respect for Weak Women

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ advised Anjasha, a camel driver, to drive slowly and not break the glass vessels. Qatada interpreted this to mean that the Prophet ﷺ was referring to weak women.

Narrated Anas bin Malik: The Prophet had a Had (a camel driver) called Anjasha, and he had a nice voice. The Prophet said to him, "(Drive) slowly, O Anjasha! Do not break the glass vessels!" And Qatada said, "(By vessels') he meant the weak women".

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of driving carefully and respecting those who are weaker than us. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ had a camel driver called Anjasha, who had a nice voice. He advised him to drive slowly so as not to break any glass vessels. Qatada then interpreted this advice as being directed towards weak women, suggesting that they should be respected and treated with care. This hadith teaches us that we should always be mindful of our actions and how they may affect others around us, especially those who are weaker than us or more vulnerable in society. We must always strive to treat everyone with respect regardless of their gender or social standing in order for our society to remain harmonious and peaceful.
