Appreciating Neighborly Gifts

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ taught that neighbors should not look down upon the gifts of their neighbors, no matter how small or insignificant they may seem.

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet used to say, "O Muslim ladies! A neighbour should not look down upon the present of her neighbour even it were the hooves of a sheep".
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ـ هُوَ الْمَقْبُرِيُّ ـ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ يَقُولُ ‏ "‏ يَا نِسَاءَ الْمُسْلِمَاتِ لاَ تَحْقِرَنَّ جَارَةٌ لِجَارَتِهَا وَلَوْ فِرْسِنَ شَاةٍ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us to appreciate and respect the gifts of our neighbors, no matter how small or insignificant they may seem. The Prophet Muhammad is teaching us to be grateful for what we receive from our neighbors and not to look down on them. He is also teaching us that even something as small as a sheep's hooves can be appreciated and respected. We should always remember to show gratitude for whatever we receive from others, regardless of its size or value. This hadith also reminds us that it is important to maintain good relationships with our neighbours by showing them kindness and appreciation for their gifts.
