Generosity and Kindness in Islam

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the importance of being generous and kind to others.

Narrated 'Abdullah: (As above 827).
حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ ذَكَرْتُ لِعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَابِسٍ حَدِيثَ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ،، فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ أُمِّ يَعْقُوبَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، مِثْلَ حَدِيثِ مَنْصُورٍ‏.‏

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith emphasizes the importance of generosity and kindness in Islam. It was narrated by Abdullah who said that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said that whoever gives charity will receive a reward from Allah for it. He also said that if someone does something good, then Allah will increase its goodness for them. Furthermore, he stated that no one should withhold their charity even if it is only a small amount because even small acts of kindness can have great rewards from Allah. This hadith teaches us to be generous with our wealth and time as well as to always strive to do good deeds no matter how small they may seem.
