Sahih al-Bukhari 5533 (Book 72, Hadith 58) #5308
Wounds Bleeding on the Day of Resurrection

SUMMARY: On the Day of Resurrection, those who were wounded in Allah's cause will come with their wounds still bleeding, but they will have a pleasant smell.

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger said, "None is wounded in Allah's Cause but will come on the Day of Resurrection with his wound bleeding. The thing that will come out of his wound will be the color of blood, but its smell will be the smell of musk".

QUICK LESSONS:
Fight for Allah's Cause; Do good deeds; Never give up when doing something good; Have faith in God's reward system

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about how those who are wounded in Allah's cause will be rewarded on the day of resurrection. It is narrated by Abu Huraira that Prophet Muhammad said that anyone who has been injured while fighting for Allah's cause will come to judgement day with their wound still bleeding. However, instead of having a bad smell like blood usually does, it will have a pleasant smell like musk. This shows us how much reward and appreciation Allah has for those who fight for His cause and how He rewards them even after death. It also teaches us to never give up when we are doing something good because our efforts won't go unnoticed or unrewarded by God.
