EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is narrated by Jabir and it talks about a practice that was done during the time when the Qur'an was being revealed. The practice is called coitus interruptus or withdrawal method which is a form of contraception. It means that when a man and woman are engaging in sexual intercourse, they should stop before ejaculation so as to prevent pregnancy. This was practiced during the lifetime of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). It teaches us that we should be mindful and responsible with our actions even in matters related to intimacy between couples. We should also be aware that there are consequences for our actions and we must take responsibility for them.
