Accept invitations to social gatherings respectfully and politely even while fasting.

This hadith emphasizes the importance of accepting invitations to social gatherings, even when one is fasting. It was narrated by Nafi', who reported that Abdullah bin Umar said that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said “Accept the marriage invitation if you are invited to it”. Ibn Umar used to accept such invitations whether they were for a wedding banquet or any other gathering, even when he was fasting. This hadith teaches us that we should be hospitable and welcoming towards others and not reject their invitations out of politeness and respect for them. We should also remember that our actions should be in accordance with Islamic teachings, so if we are fasting then we can still attend such events but without eating or drinking anything there.
