The Reward of Reciting Two Verses

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the importance of reciting two verses from the Quran and how it will be rewarded.

Narrated Abu Mas'ud: Whoever recites two verses .
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ قَالَ مَنْ قَرَأَ بِالآيَتَيْنِ‏.‏

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the importance of reciting two verses from the Quran. It was narrated by Abu Mas'ud that whoever recites two verses from the Quran, they will be rewarded with a reward equivalent to that of freeing ten slaves. Furthermore, if one were to recite three verses then they would receive a reward equivalent to freeing thirty slaves. This hadith emphasizes on how important it is for us to recite even just two verses from the Quran as we can gain immense rewards for doing so. It also teaches us that we should strive to do more good deeds in order to gain greater rewards in return.
