Glorifying God's Name

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) was taught the verse "Glorify the Name of your Lord the Most High" before he came to Medina.

Narrated Al-Bara': I learnt, 'Glorify the Name of your Lord the Most High' (Surat al-A'la) No 87, before the Prophet came (to Medina) .
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، أَنْبَأَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ، سَمِعَ الْبَرَاءَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ تَعَلَّمْتُ ‏{‏سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ‏}‏ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَقْدَمَ النَّبِيُّ ‏.‏

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about glorifying and praising Allah's name. It was narrated by Al-Bara', who learned a verse from Surat al-A'la, which is chapter 87 in the Quran. The verse reads “Glorify the Name of your Lord the Most High”. This means that we should always remember to praise and exalt Allah's name in all that we do. We should also strive to be mindful of His greatness and power at all times, no matter what situation we are in or how difficult it may be. By doing this, we can show our appreciation for Him and His blessings on us as Muslims. Additionally, this hadith teaches us that even before Prophet Muhammad ﷺ arrived in Medina, people were already aware of Allah's greatness and were striving to glorify Him through their words and actions.
