Sahih al-Bukhari 4875 (Book 65, Hadith 396) #4657
The Prayer of the Prophet at Badr

SUMMARY: This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) making a prayer to Allah during the Battle of Badr, and Abu Bakr reminding him not to be too pressing in his request.

Narrated 'Abbas: Allah's Messenger while in a tent on the day of the Battle of Badr, said, "O Allah! I request you (to fulfill) Your promise and contract! O Allah! If You wish that you will not be worshipped henceforth".. On that Abu Bakr held the Prophet by the hand and said, "That is enough, O Allah's Messenger You have appealed to your Lord too pressingly," while the Prophet was putting on his armor. So Allah's Messenger went out, reciting Their multitude will be put to flight, and they will show their backs'. (54:45)

QUICK LESSONS:
Have faith in God's promises and contracts; Support your family/friends on their spiritual journeys; Trust God's judgement even if it does not align with your own desires or expectations; Be mindful when making prayers so you don't press Him too much with your requests .

EXPLANATIONS:
During the Battle of Badr, Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) was in a tent and made a prayer to Allah. He asked for Allah's promise and contract to be fulfilled. Abu Bakr then reminded him not to be too pressing in his request. This hadith teaches us that we should always have faith in Allah's promises and contracts, but also remember that we should not press Him too much with our requests as He knows what is best for us. We must trust His judgement even if it does not align with our own desires or expectations.

This hadith also reminds us of how important it is for friends and family members to look out for each other - even when it comes to matters related to faith - as Abu Bakr did by reminding the Prophet (ﷺ). It shows us how important it is for us all to support each other on our spiritual journeys, no matter what they may entail.
