Sahih al-Bukhari 4818 (Book 65, Hadith 340) #4601
Kindness Due To Kinship

SUMMARY: The Prophet (ﷺ) asked people to be kind to him due to his kinship with them, regardless of their branch of the tribe of Quraish.

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: That he was asked (regarding): "Except to be kind to me for my Kinship with you'. (42:23) Sa'id bin Zubair (who was present then) said, "It means here (to show what is due for) the relatives of Muhammad". On that Ibn 'Abbas said: you have hurried in giving the answer! There was no branch of the tribe of Quraish but the Prophet had relatives therein. The Prophet said, "I do not want anything from (you ) except to be Kind to me for my Kinship with you".

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by Ibn 'Abbas and Sa'id bin Zubair explains that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ asked people to be kind to him due to his kinship with them. This is regardless of which branch they belong in the tribe of Quraish. This hadith teaches us that we should show kindness towards our relatives no matter what their background is or where they come from. It also teaches us that we should not discriminate against anyone based on their family or lineage. We should treat everyone equally and show kindness towards all those who are related to us in any way.
