Follow the teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ ; Respect those who have knowledge and wisdom ; Strive for excellence in all aspects .

This hadith explains the importance of following the teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and how Allah will replace any forgotten or abrogated verses with a better one. Umar said that Ubai was their best reciter and Ali was their best judge. However, they still left some statements from Ubai because he would not leave anything that he heard from Allah's Messenger ﷺ even though Allah says in Surah Al-Baqarah 2:106 "Whatever verse do We abrogate or cause to be forgotten but We bring a better one or similar to it". This hadith teaches us that we should always follow the teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as they are more important than anything else. It also reminds us that if we forget something from his teachings then Allah will replace it with something even better.
