Sahih al-Bukhari 4437 (Book 64, Hadith 458) #4231
Death of a Prophet

SUMMARY: This hadith speaks of the death of a prophet and how they are shown their place in paradise before they die.

Narrated Aisha: When Allah 's Apostle was in good health, he used to say, "Never does a prophet die unless he is shown his place in Paradise ( before his death ), and then he is made alive or given option". When the Prophet became ill and his last moments came while his head was on my thigh, he became unconscious, and when he came to his senses, he looked towards the roof of the house and then said, "O Allah! (Please let me be) with the highest companion". Thereupon I said, "Hence he is not going to stay with us? " Then I came to know that his state was the confirmation of the narration he used to mention to us while he was in good health.

QUICK LESSONS:
Have faith in God's plan , Use your life wisely by doing good deeds .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the death of a prophet and how it is different from that of an ordinary person. It is said that when a prophet is close to death, Allah shows them their place in paradise before they pass away. When the Prophet Muhammad was on his deathbed, he looked towards the roof and said "O Allah! Let me be with the highest companion". This indicates that he knew he was going to leave this world soon and wanted to be with those who were closest to Allah in paradise. The hadith also mentions that this was confirmation of what he used to say while he was healthy, which implies that prophets have knowledge about what will happen after their deaths.

This hadith teaches us several values such as faith, trust in God's plan, humility, patience during difficult times and hope for eternal life after death. It also reminds us not to take our lives for granted but rather use it wisely by doing good deeds so we can attain salvation in the hereafter.
