QUICK LESSONS:

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith is about Prophet Muhammad's companion, Mu'adh, who was sent to Yemen to lead people in prayer. During his Fajr prayer, he recited a verse from the Quran which mentioned Prophet Abraham and someone from the congregation commented on it. This hadith teaches us that when we are leading prayers or even when we are praying alone, we should recite verses of the Quran with proper understanding and contemplation so that we can benefit from its teachings. It also shows us how important it is for us to be attentive during our prayers as well as during congregational prayers so that we can learn something new each time. Furthermore, this hadith also encourages us to make supplications for others such as Prophet Abraham's mother who was mentioned by one of those present at Mu'adh's prayer.
