Avoiding anything that can cause intoxication
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the prohibition of intoxicants. It was narrated by Abi Burda, who reported that Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari asked the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ about certain alcoholic drinks which used to be prepared in Yemen. The Prophet ﷺ said that all intoxicants are prohibited. This means that any drink or substance which causes intoxication is not allowed in Islam and should be avoided at all costs. The Prophet ﷺ also mentioned two specific types of alcoholic drinks - Al-Bit', made from honey, and Al-Mizr, made from barley - as examples of what is forbidden. This hadith teaches us to stay away from anything that can cause intoxication and harm our bodies or minds, as it goes against Islamic teachings and values.
