QUICK LESSONS:
Fulfill religious obligations and duties responsibly
EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was known to be a role model for all Muslims and his actions were seen as an example of how to live life according to Islamic teachings. This hadith is about the Prophet's marriage with Maimuna while he was in a state of Ihram. In Islam, it is forbidden for a person who is in a state of Ihram to get married or consummate their marriage until they have finished their pilgrimage or Umrah. However, this hadith shows us that even though the Prophet ﷺ got married during his time in Ihram, he waited until he finished his pilgrimage before consummating it. This teaches us that although we may not be able to do certain things due to religious obligations, we should still strive to fulfill our duties and responsibilities as Muslims even if it means waiting for something we want or need.
