QUICK LESSONS:
Be willing to make peace with your enemies if it means protecting yourself from harm or danger even if you have to compromise along the way .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about Thabit bin Ad-Dahhak, who was one of those people that took part in giving the pledge of allegiance beneath a tree. The pledge was known as Al-Hudaibiya and it was an agreement between Prophet Muhammad and his followers on one side, and Quraysh on the other side. This agreement allowed Muslims to perform their pilgrimage to Makkah without any fear or danger from Quraysh. It also showed that Muslims were willing to make peace with their enemies if it meant protecting themselves from harm. This hadith teaches us that we should always be willing to make peace with our enemies if it means protecting ourselves from harm or danger, even if it means making some compromises along the way.
