Rewarding Good Deeds in Times of Illness and Travel

SUMMARY: When a person is ill or travelling, they will be rewarded for the good deeds they would have done if they were healthy and at home.

Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah said, "When a slave of Allah suffers from illness or sets on a journey, he is credited with the equal of whatever good works he used to do when he was healthy or at home". Al-Bukhari.
السابع عشر‏:‏ عنه قال‏:‏ قال رسول الله ‏:‏‏ "‏ إذا مرض العبد أو سافر كتب له مثل ما كان يعمل مقيماً صحيحاً‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏رواه البخاري‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏

This hadith teaches us that even when we are ill or travelling, we can still receive rewards from Allah for our good deeds. We should strive to make the most of every situation and use it as an opportunity to increase our reward from Allah.
