Treating animals with kindness and respect

The hadith narrated by Anas ibn Malik states that the Prophet Muhammad forbade animals from being used as targets. This means that it is not permissible to tie an animal and use it for shooting practice or any other form of target practice. This prohibition is based on the Islamic principle of mercy and compassion towards all living creatures.
