The Best Action - Remembrance of Allah

SUMMARY: The best action one can do is to remember Allah, which is more beneficial than spending gold and silver in charity or fighting enemies.

Abud-Darda (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah said, "Shall I not inform you of the best of your actions which are the purest to your Rabb, which exalt you to the high ranks, which are more efficacious than spending gold and silver (in charity), and better for you than you should encounter your enemies whom you will smite their necks and they will smite your necks?" They said, "Certainly". He said, "Remembrance of Allah the Exalted". At-Tirmidhi.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith from the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ teaches us that the best action we can do is to remember Allah. It is more beneficial than spending gold and silver in charity or fighting our enemies. Remembering Allah brings us closer to Him and exalts us to high ranks in His sight. It also has a greater effect on our lives than any material wealth or physical strength could ever have. We should strive to make remembrance of Allah a part of our daily routine so that we may reap its rewards both in this life and the hereafter.
