Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The martyrs are of five kinds: One who dies of plague; one who dies of disease of his belly; the drowned; one who dies under the debris (of construction, etc), and one who dies while fighting in the way of Allah". Al-Bukhari and Muslim.
The message behind this hadith is clear; it teaches us that we should always strive to do good deeds and make sacrifices for our faith as it can lead us to great rewards from God Almighty. It also reminds us that even if we don’t get any worldly reward or recognition for our efforts, we should still continue striving hard as God knows what is best for us and He will reward us accordingly on Judgment Day.
