Origin of Salman

SUMMARY: The hadith is about Salman, who is from a Persian town called Ram-Hurmuz.

Narrated Salman: I am from Ram-Hurmuz (ie a Persian town).
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَوْفٍ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَلْمَانَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ يَقُولُ أَنَا مِنْ، رَامَ هُرْمُزَ‏.‏
