The Life of the Prophet Muhammad

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) stayed in Mecca for thirteen years and died at the age of sixty-three.

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: Allah's Messenger stayed in Mecca for thirteen years (after receiving the first Divine Inspiration) and died at the age of sixty-three.
حَدَّثَنِي مَطَرُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ، حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّاءُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ مَكَثَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ بِمَكَّةَ ثَلاَثَ عَشْرَةَ، وَتُوُفِّيَ وَهْوَ ابْنُ ثَلاَثٍ وَسِتِّينَ‏.‏

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the life of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. He was born in 570 CE and received his first revelation from Allah when he was 40 years old. He then stayed in Mecca for 13 years before migrating to Medina with his followers. He passed away at the age of 63 after a lifetime spent spreading Islam and teaching its values to others. This hadith serves as a reminder that we should strive to live our lives according to Islamic teachings and emulate the example set by our beloved prophet ﷺ.
