Allah's Constant Affairs

SUMMARY: The Prophet explains that Allah is constantly engaged in affairs such as forgiving sins, relieving distress, raising some people and bringing others low.

It was narrated from Abu Darda' that: The Prophet said concerning the Verse: "Every day He is (engaged) in some affair"".His affairs include forgiving sins, relieving distress, raising some people and bringing others low".
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَزِيرُ بْنُ صَبِيحٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ حَلْبَسٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ الدَّرْدَاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ـ ـ فِي قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى ‏{كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِي شَأْنٍ}‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ ‏"‏ مِنْ شَأْنِهِ أَنْ يَغْفِرَ ذَنْبًا وَيُفَرِّجَ كَرْبًا وَيَرْفَعَ قَوْمًا وَيَخْفِضَ آخَرِينَ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith explains the verse from the Quran which states that every day Allah is engaged in some affair. The Prophet Muhammad then goes on to explain what these affairs are; they include forgiving sins, relieving distress, raising some people and bringing others low. This hadith teaches us that no matter what we do or how we act, Allah will always be there to forgive us and help us out of our troubles. It also reminds us that He has the power to raise up those who are humble and bring down those who are arrogant. We should always remember this when dealing with each other so as not to become too proud or too humble.
